MEDIENWERFT CREATES iPHONE APP FOR HAWESKO

The Hanseatisches Wein- und Sekt-Kontor (Hanseatic Wine and Sekt Trading Office), Europe’s largest trader in high-quality wines and champagnes, now has yet another reason to celebrate. With its new iPhone app for its online platform, Hawesko has now made its entire range accessible to customers on the go. Medienwerft was responsible for designing and implementing this app.

All is dark. We hear footsteps. A mysterious-looking woman walks past. She carries in front of her a mysteriously glowing cube … So begins the Fashion Short {THE BOX}, the official teaser for the latest alliance between Berlin fashion label Perret Schaad and Hamburg-based shoe retailer Ludwig Görtz GmbH. The film announces the premiere of the exclusive ‘Görtz designed by Perret Schaad’ shoe collection, which is to be presented at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin on 7 July. Medienwerft was the agency partner responsible for the overall project. // MORE
No sooner have the first rays of sunshine appeared than Medienwerft kicks off the leisure park season by relaunching the website of Heide Park Resort (www.heide-park.de). The relaunch focused on revamping all of the home pages and optimising header, footer and background imagery on all content pages. The aim was to improve ease of operation, optimise load times, and – naturally – provide quick, direct access to the ticket shop. The relaunch package also included designing a new newsletter and a banner concept. Northern Germany’s biggest and best leisure park can now be seen in what is a significantly modernised look, while its website visitors enjoy much more focused access to all of the services on offer. // MORE

Medienwerft acquired Görtz as a new client in June 2010. Medienwerft is assisting the leading shoe retailer with its activities in the field of social media marketing. Its first project will be this year’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin, which was held recently and which Görtz sponsored in conjunction with fashion label Kaviar Gauche. The event was reported on in detail beforehand, during the event and afterwards on Facebook. Other projects followed in September, such as the weekly ‘Style Flash’ and ‘I like Buffalo!’ – a photographic competition held on Facebook as well as in actual stores, both channels complementing each other. The aim of Görtz’s activities is to utilise the world’s most important social media platform as a customer forum for direct exchange and for providing quick information to the company’s own Facebook community.

Jette Joop will now be entrusting its Web presence to the Hamburg-based specialists in branding and e-commerce. Hamburg, January 2010. The new Ben & Jerry’s Facebook page has been launched for the new year to become Germany’s first social network ‘cowmunity’. Hamburg-based agency Medienwerft designed the Facebook site for the world-famous cult ice cream brand, once again proving its expertise in the use of social media as a marketing instrument. The Ben & Jerry’s Facebook page was launched with a prize draw and viral mechanisms to attract lots of fans and bind them more closely to the brand long-term. // MORE
Medienwerft has successfully defended its position against strong competition with a pitch for the BAUR Versand account. The agency for digital media and communication impressed the customer with its concept for an upcoming shop re-launch.
Medienwerft has been active as BAUR Versand's Internet agency since 2005. The pitch concerned a redesign of the shop incorporating BAUR’s future brand positioning. “We are delighted to have once again stood up to very tough competition, and we look forward to continuing the collaboration we successfully embarked on four years ago,” said Hendrik van Laaten, Managing Director of Medienwerft.

The video wine shop TVINO.de, launched in 2009, has been awarded the renowned “Online Shop Jury Innovation Prize 2009” at the mail order congress. In Germany, the prize rankes as the most coveted award for innovative concepts in the online mail order sector. The Hanseatic wine dealer commissioned Hamburg agency Medienwerft to design and implement the TVINO.de video shop. The distinguished jury of experts was especially impressed by the blend of emotional, high quality product presentation and the new direct wine ordering options. Particular mention was made of the easy order process and the fact that users can become involved in the design of the shop via comment functions. At the award ceremony on September 29, 2009 in Wiesbaden, TVINO.de prevailed over strong competitors and came out on top in the final round. // MORE
