Medienwerft creates iphone app for Hawesko
The Hanseatic “Wein- und Sekt-Kontor” (Hanseatic Wine and Sekt Trading Office), Europe’s largest trader in high-quality wines and champagnes, now has yet another reason to celebrate. With its new iPhone app for its online platform, Hawesko has now made its entire range accessible to customers on the go. Medienwerft was responsible for designing and implementing this app.
„As well as using iPhones for things like location-based services, mobile banking and entertainment, more and more users are turning to the device for shopping purposes,”
says Medienwerft’s managing director Frank Meier.
“So it was an obvious move for Hawesko to extend its e-commerce services into the mobile market.”
The app for the iPhone means that wine can be bought anywhere and at any time, a feature that makes shopping easier for both spontaneous buyers and long-standing customers, who are able to respond more quickly to offers.
“To give Hawesko customers access to the whole range, we have enabled their smartphones to navigate deftly through the plethora of the company’s wines, from red to white to rosé, as well as champagne and Prosecco,”
says Frank Meier of the features.
“You can search by region, by vintage or even by grape variety, or you can simply rely on wine ratings provided by satisfied Hawesko customers”
Another popular feature are the app deals exclusively available to app users, these being offers and special prices only accessible using an iPhone.
