Stopperka’s online shop – one of the leading manufacturers in Germany for the hairdressing and cosmetics industries – has been in the hands of Medienwerft since the end of 2015.

During the course of the relaunch, a Magento update was made to 1.9. The redesign, a usability update and the responsive functionality were also taken over by Medienwerft, which has been responsible for the online shop’s support since then.

In doing so, the further development of usability is gradually being worked on. In addition, the functionality, the design, the scalability and much more are constantly optimised. Medienwerft is also responsible for online promotion campaigns (design of homepage slides, functionality of special trade fair prices).


Existing for 60 years, Stopperka is now a leading hairdressing and cosmetics wholesaler in Germany. In addition to washing facilities, styling chairs and dryers, the full range also includes hair care, dyeing and styling products. It is made up of 15,000 articles from numerous well-known manufacturers, as well as quality and alternatives more attractive in terms of price with high-quality own-brands and exclusive brands.



The company was founded in 1996 and is one of the most experienced Internet agencies in Germany. Its core competence lies in its holistic service made up of advice, creation, technology and online marketing with a special focus on e-branding and e-commerce. The network-independent agency based in Hamburg is managed by the managing directors Oliver Helms, Hendrik van Laaten and Frank Meier.
