The event was reported on in detail beforehand, during the event and afterwards on Facebook. Other projects followed in September, such as the weekly \u2018Style Flash\u2019 and \u2018I like Buffalo!\u2019 \u2013 a photographic competition held on Facebook as well as in actual stores, both channels complementing each other. The aim of G\u00f6rtz\u2019s activities is to utilise the world\u2019s most important social media platform as a customer forum for direct exchange and for providing quick information to the company\u2019s own Facebook community.<\/p>\n<p>Ludwig G\u00f6rtz GmbH is a leading shoe retailer that employs 3,800 people and operates more than 280 branches in Germany, Austria, Poland and Switzerland, as well as goertz.de. It views itself as a European market leader in the high-quality shoe and accessory segment. G\u00f6rtz became in May 2010 the official equipper of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin for three seasons, supplying shoes to employees and helpers at the event. Facebook hosted a detailed preview report including a look at the collection. Facebook members were able to win VIP tickets to the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and then report by video on the event, allowing the Facebook community to follow the event live. The aim of these activities was to build up the G\u00f6rtz Facebook community and to publicise the alliance with kaviar gauche as part of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The kaviar gauche brand presented its exclusive spring\/summer 2011 shoe collection entitled \u2018G\u00f6rtz designed by kaviar gauche\u2019 at the Fashion Week in July. This collection was developed by the Berlin-based label in conjunction with G\u00f6rtz.<\/p>\n<p>This new client and these activities once again highlight Medienwerft\u2019s expertise in the field of social media marketing. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;We are very pleased to have acquired G\u00f6rtz as a new client, and we are delighted to have been able to help quadruple the number of fans in such a short space of time,&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>says Oliver Helms, managing director of Medienwerft.
