THE SUCCESS PLATFORM EASY PLUS

Keeps on going: With the support of Medienwerft, Volkswagen Zubehör GmbH [Volkswagen Accessories] subjected the B2B ordering system EASY to a relaunch, and launched the new marketing platform PLUS. On the basis of SAP Commerce (formerly SAP Hybris), the sales information is collected here for Volkswagen partners in over 110 countries worldwide. Medienwerft was responsible for concept development and implementation and also undertakes regular content creation and maintenance for the marketing platform PLUS.

THE TASK

Until 2018, Volkswagen Zubehör GmbH informed its importers about offers, new products, etc. with the aid of PDF newsletters (“ACCESS”). There also existed so-called “Produktargumenter”, in which advantages of each product group were summarized. Both areas were to be displayed dynamically in an online platform. So Medienwerft was commissioned with the launch of the marketing platform PLUS, through which all the importers can access this product and marketing content.

At the same time and in close cooperation with SAP, Medienwerft undertook the relaunch of the existing sales platform EASY (Electronic Accessories System), which was completely redesigned and migrated to SAP Commerce (formerly SAP Hybris). In addition to a web shop, SAP Commerce Accelerator offers all the necessary functionalities such as CMS, personalization, frontend modifications, linkage to Google Analytics and much more.

As Volkswagen Accessories addresses importers in over 110 countries, EASY PLUS is completely bilingual.

Challenges

Even after the go-live, the EASY PLUS portal is still being constantly modified to meet requirements. New content, components and features are continuously being developed to provide further order stimuli. Medienwerft is completely responsible for all the new components in PLUS, from concept development, graphics and text, through to technical development. A permanent team, made up of members from Concept Development, Creation, Development and Project Management at Medienwerft, undertakes regular content creation and maintenance, as well as the development of new content.

The importers are kept informed about new pages and offers in PLUS in a regular e-mail newsletter. This links directly to the corresponding landing pages in PLUS, where visitors are once again encouraged to order by means of links to EASY. Medienwerft also undertakes the implementation and distribution of the e-mail newsletter.

The wide range of products includes more than 8,000 accessory items in the areas of Sport and Design, Complete Wheels and Alloy Wheels, Communication, Transport, Comfort and Protection, as well as Lifestyle. The company currently employs more than 230 people. The headquarters of Volkswagen Zubehör GmbH are in Dreieich, near Frankfurt am Main.
