K5 Masterclass: AI only works with architecture: How AI agents automatically orchestrate commerce processes
How can AI be used effectively? What is the optimal system architecture for this? And how can the underlying processes be orchestrated with AI agents? At the K5 conference, we answered these questions in a masterclass with a live demo. A recording is now available for download.
Top brands, leading retailers and experts once again provided valuable input at this year’s K5 conference in Berlin. Medienwerft and FIS Group were represented together with Emporix with their own stand – including many interesting discussions and contacts.
Our masterclass was extremely popular, with the number of interested parties far outnumbering those who were able to attend. The topic: ” AI only works with architecture: How AI agents automatically orchestrate commerce processes”. But what does that mean?
During the masterclass with live demo, our experts Michael Feige, Lead Solution Engineer at Medienwerft, and Nicolas Berney, Head of PreSales at Emporix, demonstrated:
- how architecture and intelligent solutions can ensure that AI is effective and not just a plug-in

All companies want to use AI. The problem is that many are trapped in their old monolithic commerce systems and are trying to use AI to solve the challenges in a system that is not designed to work with AI. These monolithic systems can also be evolved cloud systems. Fixed couplings and established processes make it difficult or even impossible for AI to interact with these systems.
It needs a system that is modern and modular and has already been developed with AI as an architectural concept.
