Growing together: B2C Webshop relaunch of ‘Mein schöner Garten’
‘Mein schöner Garten’ – Europe’s largest gardening magazine – decided to relaunch its B2C Webshop. What was needed was a new concept for the store interface and the development of an MVP (Minimum Viable Product). And our fast bloomer quickly bore fruit: both conceptually and technically, we were able to implement the requirements, which were coordinated in an agile manner during the course of the project, and relaunch the B2C Webshop.

The task
The complete package, but as quickly as possible
A relaunch of the B2C web store with all-round service was required. The task was comprehensive:
- Consulting
- UX/UI design
- MVP (Minimum Viable Product) beyond the SAP standard
- Integration into the ERP
- Adaptation of the product structures
- Integration of a new payment service provider (PSP)
- Development of customized components
- Implementation of a SEO and tracking concept
The design and technical requirements went hand in hand. The aim was to redesign the store interface in line with the corporate design refresh to make it appear more modern, fresher and of higher quality. The final stretch involved integrations, developments, adaptations and implementations.

The challenge
Flexible prioritization
With the requirement to develop an MVP, it was clear that the requirements should be implemented as quickly as possible. After all, the goal of a ‘Minimum viable product’ is rapid implementation in order to generate user feedback as quickly as possible and integrate it into the ongoing measures.
As a complete relaunch was desired, it was necessary to prioritize which features would receive the most attention. An important part of this was finding a suitable PSP provider, then implementing and finally testing it.
In order to keep everything as simple as possible, we had to reprioritize again and again during the course of the project. We also had to start implementing the system as soon as possible while the concept and design were running in parallel. This meant that although the design had not yet been approved, the first frontend logic was already being developed and the backend was working on the integration concept in parallel.
Conclusion
TRUST AND EXPERTISE – THEY HARMONIZE
Reaching the goal together: To trust in our expertise paid off for ‘Mein schöner Garten’ – from development to design, we took on all challenges and implemented them successfully and quickly in close cooperation with the customer:
Redesign of the store interface
Barrier-free UI with a focus on usability
New integration of the store into the ERP
Adaptation of product data structures
Integration of a new payment service provider
Development of customized components
We are proud that we were able to realize a great project with the relaunch of ‘Mein schöner Garten’. Creation and development worked harmoniously as a team to meet the requirements.
