Effective project management for clear goals

Not everything always goes according to plan. Good project management is essential to ensure that we still achieve our goals in terms of time, quality and budget. Together, we define clear goals and determine the requirements. Then we move on to thorough project planning: the project is planned effectively with milestones, schedules, resource allocation, budgeting and risk management. With our agile process model we can react flexibly to changes and new requirements.

To ensure effective resource planning, we attach great importance to ensuring that the chemistry is right as well as the skills when putting together the team. Depending on requirements, we put together a competent team of Development, UX-Design, Marketing/SEO and other experts required for the success of your e-commerce project.

Time, costs, quality:
The field of tension in which we operate

There is a fundamental concept in the world of project management. It consists of three essential elements – time, cost and quality – which are in constant interaction with each other. Each of these elements has a decisive influence on the success of the project. As experienced project managers, we know that the key to success lies in striking the right balance between these three elements.

THE MAGIC TRIANGLE

  • Definition: Quality describes the degree of compliance with requirements and expectations. It includes all quality standards that the project must fulfill.
  • Challenges: Compromising on quality can lead to dissatisfied stakeholders and long-term problems. Rigorous quality management ensures that the project meets the desired standards.
  • Definition: The budget includes all financial resources required for the implementation of the project, including personnel, materials and other expenses.
  • Challenges: Exceeding the budget can lead to quality restrictions or delays. Efficient cost management is crucial in order to stay within the set financial limits.
  • Definition: The time frame in which the project is to be completed. This includes deadlines, milestones and the entire project plan.
  • Challenges: Delays can have a significant impact on the costs and quality of the project. Strict time management is therefore essential.

HABA FAMILYGROUP CASE

With Lean Commerce from MVP to efficient implementation

When launching the new B2C online store based on Emporix, we worked with the client to design the roadmap for a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).

In order to have an executable web store at an early stage, the features were prioritized according to four categories: Must-haves, Should-haves, Could-haves and Future Proposals.

Then dependencies were checked, the implementation effort of the individual features estimated and their go-live relevance evaluated.

This resulted in a project roadmap with concrete milestones, which were tracked using a traffic light system. The first features went live in record time and the roadmap was adhered to.
