That’s the top: Another year gone by – and what a year it was! As a thank-you for the successful cooperation last year, we are turning our customers into tree sponsors this year. Near Hohenaspe in Schleswig-Holstein, we have planted 350 trees that will make a small contribution to climate protection over the next 99 years.
What your tree can do: Trees are …
OXYGEN-PRODUCERS
Even a tree that is only 20 meters high produces about 10,000 liters of oxygen a day – enough for 5 to 10 people.
DUST FILTER
As a “green lung”, a tree filters up to 100 kilograms of dust from the air through its leaves or needles every year.
LIVING SPACE
Trees provide nesting sites, food, habitat and shelter for various animals – for around 6,700 species in Germany alone.
FOOD SOURCE
Leaves, needles and buds, but also fruits, nuts, berries and seeds form an important food base for wildlife.
WELFARE LOCATION
Trees release “plant cells” to defend themselves against pathogens. When we walk in the forest, our immune system benefits from this.
SHADOW DONOR
One tree evaporates up to 500 liters of water per day and provides cooling capacity for 10 to 15 air conditioners. Trees also reduce wind speed by 85%.

Don’t talk for long – get to work: On November 24, 2021, Oliver Helms, Hendrik van Laaten and Frank Meier were on site in Hohenaspe to put some of the 350 trees into the ground themselves. Let’s hope they take root there – the trees, not our managing directors.
The idea behind PLANT-MY-TREE®
Something big is growing: Since 2007, PLANT-MY-TREE® has been carrying out reforestation projects throughout Germany in order to protect the climate and thus the environment. Planting mainly takes place on the company’s own land:
- In the case of initial reforestation on land that was previously used for other purposes.
- In forest conversion and forest protection on areas where the forest stands have been destroyed, e.g. by disease or climatic changes, or the forest stand can only be preserved in the long term by forest conversion
SUSTAINABLE. LONG-TERM. ECOLOGICAL.
During reforestation, regional conditions are taken into account and, if possible, mixed forests are planted. Over decades, this creates a natural habitat for insects and animals. Sustainable tree plantations as well as planned project durations of at least 99 years, during which no deforestation or economic use is to take place, support the long-term goals of PLANT-MY-TREE®.
Together with many large and small partners, PLANT-MY-TREE® contributes to environmental and climate protection according to the motto “Every tree counts” in order to leave a world worth living in for future generations.
